Go Viral Festival Accreditation and Opening Press Briefing with the U.S. Ambassador

Media are invited to the opening ceremony for the 3rd annual Go Viral Festival June 14 at 14:00 at KBTU and to an exclusive press briefing with U.S. Ambassador to Kazakhstan William H. Moser.

U.S. Ambassador to Kazakhstan William H. Moser will deliver short remarks and answer questions to mark the opening of the annual Go Viral Festival (June 14-16) at the Kazakh-British Technical University (KBTU), followed by the official opening ceremony and welcome remarks before the keynote by Stanford Design Lab Professor John Armstrong. KBTU Rector Mr. Kenzhebek Ibrashev will join Ambassador Moser at the opening ceremony.

The Go Viral Festival brings together more than 80 creative and passionate professionals from the United Stated and Central Asia.  The three-day program includes panel sessions, workshops, musical events, film screenings, and performances in media, business, culture and technology. 

Press must register for accreditation and complete a security check prior to the start of the press briefing. Registration opens at 14:00. 

Opening events include:

  • Press accreditation
  • Security check. Important: for security reasons, all media equipment (cameras, microphones, etc.) will need to go through a security check. 
  • Press briefing with the Ambassador Moser
  • Opening ceremony (Kazybek bi entrance, KBTU)
  • Welcome and keynote speech by John Armstrong, Stanford Design Lab Professor (Main Stage)

Saturday June 15, media are invited to a coffee with speakers onsite from 10 to 11p.m.
